Terrible Baby x Artesian Bar Jakarta Pop-up

On Wednesday, March 4 at 7pm, Terrible Baby will host Artesian Bar Jakarta for a one-night-only bar pop-up, bringing Jakarta’s elevated rooftop cocktail culture to Hong Kong.

The takeover will be led by Andrea Marseglia, Beverage Manager of The Langham, Jakarta. Italian-born, Andrea previously lived and worked in New Zealand before taking on his current role in Jakarta. He is recognized for his narrative-driven, sustainability-focused approach to mixology. A strong advocate for responsible ingredient sourcing, he has earned international recognition through prestigious competitions, including Second Place at the Flor de Caña Sustainable Cocktail Challenge, Top 10 globally in the Jameson Black Barrel Bartender Series, and First Place at the Plantation Rum Cup AUNZ. His work blends technical precision with creative storytelling, resulting in cocktails that are both expressive and thoughtfully crafted.

For one evening only, guests will experience a trio of cocktails that reinterpret Indonesian flavors through contemporary technique. The Gorengan Martini (HK$ 120) combines olive oil Código Blanco with fried tempeh distillate, fino sherry, Mancino dry vermouth, and MSG orange bitters, finished with a deep-fried Olive Ascolane garnish. Savory and umami-forward, it draws inspiration from Indonesia’s beloved street snack culture. The Indo Coffee (HK$ 130) layers Código mezcal infused with almonds and vanilla with Amaro Lucano, filter coffee, and croissant miso caramel, crowned with a warm Parmesan and pandan cream float. Rich and aromatic, it pays tribute to Indonesia’s vibrant coffee heritage. Completing the lineup, the Pisang Goreng Sour (HK$ 140) features pisang goreng-infused Código Añejo, roasted koji caramel, and chocolate bitters, garnished with a petite cone of banana custard. The result is a nostalgic yet refined interpretation of the classic, delivering caramelized warmth and depth.

Located on the 65th floor of The Langham, Jakarta, Artesian Bar Jakarta is inspired by the mystique of the Garden of Eden. Designed as a lush sanctuary suspended above the city, the rooftop destination blends botanical fantasy with Deco Gothic elegance, offering panoramic views alongside an inventive cocktail program. As an offshoot of the award-winning Artesian at The Langham London, the Jakarta outpost continues a legacy of world-class mixology in a visually striking, design-forward setting.
