Terrible Baby x Allegory Pop-up

On October 9, Terrible Baby welcomes Allegory from Eaton DC, led by Beverage and Creative Director Deke Dunne, with team member Kapri Robinson. Hidden behind the Progressive Library at Eaton DC, Allegory is celebrated as a genre-defining bar where art, literature, and advocacy meet. The team has earned accolades, including a #45 ranking on North America’s 50 Best Bars 2025 and Best U.S. Bar Team at the 2025 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.

For their Hong Kong appearance, Allegory will bring three innovative cocktails from the “Banned in DC,” the bar’s sophomore concept menu, including Dreamteam, Black Dove, and Mardi Gras. Continuing the story of Ruby Bridges, depicted in Allegory’s mural as Alice in Wonderland, the new menu imagines her journey two decades later in a re-envisioned Washington, D.C. Inspired by the raw energy of the city’s punk scene, especially Bad Brains, the cocktails combine bold flavors with inventive techniques such as clarification and freeze-drying. Robinson, crowned Best Bartender in the U.S. by Tales of the Cocktail and Liquor.com in 2024, joins Dunne in presenting a menu where each drink is designed as both a story and an experience.

This is not Allegory’s first appearance at Terrible Baby, but it marks a meaningful collaboration between Eaton DC and Eaton HK, uniting two bars that share the same spirit of creativity, community, and cultural exchange.
