On the evening of 9 March (7:30pm-8:30pm), trailblazing choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, who has created nine narrative ballets to date, will share her process for creating Mademoiselle: the Life of Coco Chanel, which will be premiered by the Hong Kong Ballet on 24 March.
Annabelle is an award-winning and sought-after choreographer who has created works for 73 dance companies around the world. Her wide-ranging body of work includes short conceptual pieces, full-length narratives, and dance films. The Colombian-Belgian Lopez Ochoa completed her dance education at the Royal Ballet School of Antwerp and was hailed as the “rising star of the Dutch dance scene” (NRC newspaper) in 2003. Annabelle is one of the world’s busiest and most imaginative choreographers — an inspiration to women across the globe.
